Punch Cigars – Brand Status & Heritage

Established circa 1840, Punch is one of Cuba’s historic pre-Revolution cigar brands, known for tradition, consistency, and classic character. Today, Punch is classified by Habanos S.A. within its Value brand portfolio, offering excellent quality while remaining accessible to a wide range of cigar enthusiasts. Prior to 2019, the brand was considered a Multi-Local brand, reflecting its strong international presence.

Punch cigars are blended using premium tobacco from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region and are generally medium in strength, delivering rounded flavours with balance and approachability. Once a major global brand, Punch saw its range reduced following the blue mold crisis of 1980 and again during the size rationalisation of 2002.

Despite this, Punch continues to thrive through frequent Regional Edition releases and select new introductions, maintaining its respected place in Cuban cigar heritage.
