The longest of the Cohiba's original three sizes created in 1966 and one the cigar of choice for Cuba's late president, Fidel Castro who also used to given them as personal gifts. 

The unique extra fermentation that is conducted on the Seco and Legero of all Cohibas lasts for eighteen months and is conducted at the factory in cedar barrels. This extra age creates a unique taste. The famous Cohiba flavour is most often described as ‘Grassy’, although others have noticed tones of vanilla, cocoa and coffee. It is often remarked upon how this extra fermentation makes the taste ‘smoother’ and more refined while retaining a depth and character that is entirely distinct. A prime example of a modern Habanos

In 2011 this cigar was given a Cigar Aficionado rating of 94 and they noted that it had “a complex progression of flavours, starting with cinnamon and nutmeg intonations that lead to a robust and profound coffee flavour that lasts on the finish.”

Beginning in 2019 with the Romeo y Julieta Maravillas No.8 (Year of the Rat), the Cohiba Siglo de Oro is the fourth release from Habanos s.a. to commemorate a Chinese lunar New Year (see attached).  

The Siglo de Oro measures 4 ½” (115mm) x 54 ring gauge and is an entirely new size within the Habanos portfolio (Vitola de Galera is Exitosos or “successful” in English). Only 18,888 boxes of 18 cigars have been produced with each box housing a scannable chip secured to the inner lid allowing for instant authentication and information. Davidoff Black Band Limited Edition 2022 Gran Toro, a thick medley of sorts that combines tobacco from all three of its existing Black Band lines—Davidoff Nicaragua, Escurio and Yamasá.

At 5 1/2 inches long by 58 ring gauge, it’s made with an Ecuadoran wrapper, Brazilian binder and plenty of room for the filler blend of all the key Black Band tobaccos: Dominican, Nicaraguan and Brazilian.

Not content with unearthing a new Nicaraguan variety, they aged the Estelí in rum casks for added depth and distinctiveness. Embarking through notes of roasted nuts, the taste gives way to oak wood and ends intensely with black coffee.

The Siete Oscuro cigar was created by Davidoff Master Blender Eladio Diaz as a gift to himself and his friends for his 60th birthday - The name takes reference to the blend of seven (Siete) tobaccos that is crowned by a dark (Oscuro) shade grown wrapper leaf.

The dark, medium-bodied Toro cigar is charming with pronounced sweet nougat notes, deep coffee aromas and a compelling leathery flavour. Inspired by the autumn season with its obscure days and long nights when one finds comfort in more flavourful, sweeter cigars. 

The exceptional combination of aromas is supported by the vintage heritage: crafted in 2016 this small batch has been resting and ageing since.

The Diplomaticos Bushido Cigar is a Regional Edition Cuban Cigar from the Asia Pacific area of the world. The Diplomaticos Bushido measures 7 1/4 inches by 50 Ring gauge. Its vitola is known as the ’109’, famous for its tapered head similar to that of a piramide but more rounded at the top. An almost totally forgotten Vitola amongst modern Cuban cigars.

The Bushido really is extra special because it was produced to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the first Japanese citizen visiting Cuba! The citizen was of course a Samurai (Bushido could translate to “the way of the Samurai”) and this message can be seen through the carefully crafted Cigar stick but also its outer packaging.
