This rare size is known as a 'Sobresalientes' within the factories of Cuba, a word which translates as 'Outstanding'in English, and its easy to see why. Big and bold, but also subtle and nuanced with a lightness of touch that surprises many people the first time they light one up. 

Montecristo OPEN  Regata

A completely new figurado shape made in the image of the famous No.2, but shorter and thinner. All the smoking characteristics of its big brother are preserved in a lighter flavoured, less time consuming size.

Description

Standing at 142mm by 52, the Idílicos vitola of the Montecristo Open Slam cigar is a relatively new shape within the Cuban cigar world. Joining the established Montecristo Open range, which was released in 2009, the brand is now available in boxes of 15 and 20.

In 2009, the Open line of Montecristo cigars was introduced, debuting at the Habanos Festival in February and shipping globally just four months later. Two cigar sizes - Eagle and Regata - were unprecedented in the Cuban cigar market. Habanos marketed the Open line specifically to those who "enjoy al fresco," highlighting its relevance to outdoor sports.

The Cigar 

The Montecristo Herederos is a 6 3/8 (162mm) x 47 parejo that will be sold in humidors of 20, exclusively at La Casa del habano stores around the world. As is the case with many LCDH-exclusive releases, the cigar will feature a secondary band marking that it is an exclusive release for the LCDH franchises.
