Número Uno was originally blended for World Leaders. Handed by Nicaraguan ambassadors on official missions around the world. In 2018, we gifted some to media and special audiences and got our highest rating in 50 years. We are now officially releasing it as part of Obras Maestras, the designation of our ultra-premium family of cigars.

This ‘masterpiece’ cigar provides medium body and strength, in a smoke that is refined, complex and elegant. Creaminess complemented with light pepper notes, making it a top-ranked, exclusive, diplomat lifestyle experience. Literally.

 

The Ultimate Jewel Collection from Joya De Nicaragua was inspired by an exchange between a visitor to the Joya factory in Esteli, Nicaragua and Master bochero Aristo Torres. When asked ‘what exactly do you do?’ his brilliant response was ‘I am a jeweller. But not just any jeweller. Each of my hand-rolled creations is a man’s best friend. It’s not just a cigar; it’s an experience, each puff a story unfolding’

This seemingly trivial exchange sparked the inspiration behind the Ultimate Jewel Collection. A remarkable sampler of Joya De Nicaragua’s top creations providing a journey into the craftmanship of its blenders and master makers through time. An insight into the work of Aristo, who humbly and confidently, has been perfecting his craft at the factory for the past 30 years and counting.

The Ultimate Jewel Collection features fourteen exceptional cigars, each from one of JDN’s family of brands in its line’s best-selling vitola. The selection also spans launches from 1968 all the way to 2023, from when Joya initiated the Nicaraguan cigar industry, to the commemorative 55th Anniversary blend. The Short is machine-made and pre-cut for convenience. However the robust yet mellow aromas associated with the brand remains consistent and the cigar can be enjoyed in around 15-20 minutes – when time is “short”.

Each cigar measures around 4” x 30 ring gauge and provides a brief taste of the finest tobaccos from Nicaragua.

My Father Connecticut is an extension to the existing My Father and My Father Le Bijou lines. The cigar is blended by Jose 'Pepin' Garcia and his son Jaime Garcia at the My Father Cigar factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. it features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan Corojo 99 binder and Nicaraguan Habano Criollo filler - with the exception of the Ecuadorian wrapper, all of the tobacco comes from the Garcia's farms

This cigar also features a very unique aromatic leaf that gives the cigar aromas and flavours; a special fermentation process was given to this particular type of tobacco in order for it to release all the aromas and flavours that the Garcia's were looking for to finish the last touch of this blend. This is a mild to medlum cigar with notes of cedar, cocoa, leather and caramel with a hint of honey.

Don 'Pepin' Garcia 'Blue Label' has served as the inspiration for the creation and development of many other My Father lines. Hand made using 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos, this cigar features an extra-oily cinnamon coloured Corojo Oscuro wrapper and has an average rating of 93 points in Cigar Aficionado magazine.

This is a full bodied cigar with a unique composition and blend where zesty notes of leather and cedar accompany a medley of hot peppers.

My Father Flor De Las Antillas Belicosos

The Cigar

The Flor De Las Antillas brand was released by My Father Cigars in May 2012 in the USA using a variety of Nicaraguan tobaccos, their trademark double binder and a wrapper leaf grown in  the open sunlight. They named the brand for Cuba, the largest of the Antilles Islands, which are called Antillas in their native Spanish.

These box pressed cigars are delicious from the first puff, with notes of nutmeg, white pepper and just enough strength without being overpowering. They start with the signature My Father spice and have a rich cocoa flavour. They produce a beautiful white ash giving a great finish.

Originally released in 2012, the Flor de las Antillas was named after Cuba, the largest and most beautiful of the Greater Antilles islands. With artwork from the early 1900’s, the Garcia family once again honours the island & their birthplace with this latest creation. This 3/4 to full-bodied blend is a perfect combination of Ecuadorian wrapper with Nicaraguan binders and fillers.

The Habano sun grown Oscuro wrapper and the gentle box pressing give the cigar complexity and balance. The filler is a combination of tobaccos harvested from farms in La Estrella, La Bonita 1 and Las Marias, owned and operated by the Garcia Family. This cigar has an ideal combination of strength and delicacy with notes of creamy leather and a sweet and salty finish that resounds on the palate, producing a beautiful white ash giving it a great finish.

The story of Cigar Aficionado’s 2012 Cigar of the Year begins in Cuba, the island home of José “Pepin” Garcia, his son Jaime and daughter, Janny.  Pepin began rolling cigars at the age of 11 in his hometown of Baez. He rose to prominence in Cuba as a talented cigarmaker but yearned for freedom and opportunity.

One by one the Garcia’s left, eventually making their way to Miami where they began producing cigars. Their beginnings were humble: the factory was tiny with a dozen rollers and they didn’t own the entire operation.

They had their first taste of glory with the Tatuaje brand, which they made for Pete Johnson. It brought critical acclaim as well as increasing demand, which led the family to venture out on its own, eventually constructing the massive and My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Whilst Pepin focuses his energies on growing tobacco in Nicaragua, trying various seed varieties, Jaime is the company’s master blender. They released the Flor de Las Antillas brand in May 2012, using a variety of Nicaraguan tobaccos, their trademark double binder and a wrapper leaf grown in the open sunlight. They named the brand for Cuba, the largest of the Antilles Islands, which are called Antillas in their native Spanish. The standout of the four-size brand is the Toro, which has a gentle, rounded box press and a beautiful and evenly coloured wrapper. 

The cigars are delicious from the first puff, with notes of nutmeg, white pepper and just enough strength without being overpowering. They are classics, 96-point rating on the Cigar Aficionado 100-point scale. The Garcia’s have worked long and hard since leaving Cuba, coming a long way in a very short time. Their cigars have made numerous appearances on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 list, but this is the first time they have won Cigar of the Year.

Jaime Garcia RE Connecticut is an extension to the existing Jaime Garcia Reserve Especial Broadleaf line. The cigar is blended by Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia and his son Jaime Garcia at the My Father Cigar factory in Nicaragua.

It features a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Garcia family farms with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper grown in Ecuador. These mild to medium cigars have notes of coffee and almond with hints of butterscotch and white pepper.

Description

Awarded Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado in 2015 these cigars were mde by Jose “Pepin” Garcia in honour, appreciation and memory of his father, who was born in 1922. They are presented in an elegant white box of 23 cigars, with a double band. They are finished with a Habano O.O Oscuro wrapper

This is a full bodied blend with exquisite and exceptional aroma that conveys impressions of chocolate covered raisins and leather with a sweet and salty finish that resonates on the palate.

The original My Father brand was created by Jaime Garcia to honour his father, Pepin. A year later, Pepin decided to honour his own father with an offshoot brand called My Father Le Bijou 1922. Unlike the originals, which wear an Ecuadoran cover leaf, Le Bijou 1922 cigars are darker and stronger. The blend is Nicaraguan from top to bottom, showcasing Cuban-seed wrappers that the Garcia family calls oscuro. Only one size—this torpedo—is box-pressed. Some will say that box-pressing a cigar is only an aesthetic decision. But when the Garcia's took this hearty, complex blend, rolled it into a torpedo shape and then gave it a pressing, the result stood out for its ability to deliver complex notes clearly and harmoniously.

All the tobaccos used in the blend come from the Garcia family's San Rafael, Las Quebradas and San Jose farms and are described as being unique for their aromatics. The company have said that they undergo a special fermentation process to release all of the aromas and flavours that the Garcia family were looking for okut of this blend.

\Since the introduction of the My Father brand in 2008, the Garcia Family seem to come up with hit blend after hit blend. After a lengthy wait for international availability, we are delighted to launch two vitolas from the My Father The Judge range. Orginally released at the end of 2016, the My Father The Judge Grand Robusto was named Cigar Journal No1 Cigar of the Year 2017 and has just been named as Cigar Aficionado Cigar of the Year for 2024 with a rating of 98.

The Judge features three different Nicaraguan fillers, all grown on Garcia family farms as well as Corojo and Criollo binders and finished with an Ecuadorian Sumatran wrapper. This full bodied cigar starts off slightly salty, with interesting woody and almond tones. It is unbelieveably smooth, nutty, delicately acidic and develops subtle notes of anise, coffee and bread in the very creamy smoke texture.

The Oliva Mareva is the official competition cigar for the 2025 Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC). It's a 5 1/8 x 42 corona, similar to previous official CSWC cigars. The cigar features a band with a globe at its center, signifying the global nature of the competition, and a secondary band denoting its role as the official competition cigar.

The Oliva Cigar story began in the late 1800s, when Melanio Oliva started growing cigar tobacco in Cuba. His heirs carried on the family tradition in the fields, but it was his grandson Gilberto Oliva Sr. who began making cigars. 

Nicaraguan tobacco helped Oliva survive. The cigar that brought it to the attention of connoisseurs debuted in 2006: Oliva Serie V. Made by a small group of rollers and blended for strength and style, the Serie V line was an immediate hit. In 2012, to pay tribute to the first man in the family to grow cigar tobacco, Oliva added the Melanio version, which is distinguished from the original by its Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador. The No. 1 Cigar of the Year 2014, Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuarado has rich, big notes of leather framed by a range of coffee, caramel and woody intonations. It’s a classic smoke.

SERIE O 

Serie O is a Puro. Made in the original tradition of growing popular seeds in diverse regions of the country to produce a distinct blend. This blend was achieved by growing their seeds in Esteli, Condega and Jalapa Valley.

These commemorative cigars measure 5 1/2 x 54 and are presented in an eye-catching 12 count box with a fanned out display. Like the rest of the Olive Serie V range, these cigars are made in Nicaragua at the Tabolisa factory and are the same complex blend of Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos, blended with fermented Jalapa Valley Ligero and finished with a high priming Sun Grown wrapper.

The Oliva Cigar story began in the late 1800s, when Melanio Oliva started growing cigar tobacco in Cuba. His heirs carried on the family tradition in the fields, but it was his grandson Gilberto Oliva Sr. who began making cigars. 

Nicaraguan tobacco helped Oliva survive. The cigar that brought it to the attention of connoisseurs debuted in 2006: Oliva Serie V. Made by a small group of rollers and blended for strength and style, the Serie V line was an immediate hit. In 2012, to pay tribute to the first man in the family to grow cigar tobacco, Oliva added the Melanio version, which is distinguished from the original by its Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador. The No. 1 Cigar of the Year 2014, Oliva Serie V Melanio Figuarado has rich, big notes of leather framed by a range of coffee, caramel and woody intonations. It’s a classic smoke.

*It’s not as if the Oliva Serie V Melanio needed improvement. With its Sumatra-seed wrapper and bold blend of Nicaraguan tobacco, the cigar was already a complex smoke that was both critically and commercially successful. This didn’t stop Oliva from taking it to the next level, which it did when it came out with the same cigar in a maduro version. Changing the Sumatra wrapper to a dark leaf of Mexican San Andrés turned an already extraordinary cigar into an absolute blockbuster.

The Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Churchill is powered by its core of Nicaraguan tobacco but the Mexican cover leaf adds a new dimension resulting in a complete work of balance and substance.

The cigar is made in Nicaragua at Oliva’s Tabolisa factory and shows a luxurious procession of rich, regal character starting with notes of German chocolate cake that segue into a smoke of baking spices, malted chocolate and lively, cedary accents. Polished and precise, the large Churchill is a bit of a commitment, but we urge you to take that time.

What a great cigar. The Padrón Serie 1926 No. 9 impressed the Cigar Aficionado tasting panel again and again, rising to the top after repeated tests to become the best cigar of the year of 2007.

In the end, when only a few cigars remained in the last blind tasting, this one stood above the rest: it was richer, rounder, more complex and rewarding than any other cigar they smoked.

This pressed beauty is rolled in the recently expanded Padrón factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, under the watchful eye of José Orlando Padrón, his son Jorge and the rest of the family members who ensure that the 5 million or so cigars they produce each year are of impeccable quality.

This is perhaps the finest of the line, just blossoming with flavour right from the first puff. It’s a complex smoke with perfect balance, showing flavours of chocolate, coffee and nuts, as well as some black cherry. The cigar has a finish so long it seems to never leave the palate. The 97 points is the highest score the Cigar Aficionado have given a cigar in many years.

Padrón Serie 1926 cigars are a bit stronger than the company’s other luxury line, the 1964 Anniversary Series, and are considerably more expensive. The family has an affinity for anniversaries: 1964 is the year the company began making cigars, and 1926 is the year José Orlando was born. The cigar debuted in 2002, on José Orlando’s 76th birthday, a year later than originally intended.

The Padróns have never finished out of the top five in the Cigar Aficionado Top 25 tastings, and this is the second time one of their cigars have been named the No. 1 cigar of the year.

Description

Dámaso Padrón gave us life, family and our start in this industry. He was the first Padrón to 
arrive in Cuba in the late 1800’s from the Canary Islands – it is in his honor that we offer this cigar. 
This round, mild, flavorful, hand crafted and limited production cigar is made with Ecuadorian 
Connecticut wrapper.

To create something new, we looked to our past. The Dámaso line of cigars offers a complex mild to medium flavor 
profile crafted over five generations.

The Cigar

Fifty years ago this past September, José Orlando Padrón opened his doors in Miami and began selling cigars marked with his name. It was the most modest of ventures: one cigar roller, cigars that cost 25 cents apiece, and a future that was very far from certain. After a rough start, he listened to a customer who yearned for a fuma, the pig-tailed cigar type that Cuban rollers smoked. He changed his product and packaging and gave the customer the new cigar. Suddenly, he had a hit on his hands. Padróns have come a long way from those fuma days, and the company commemorated 50 years in business as the most decorated cigarmaker on the planet.

Three times Padróns have been named Cigar of the Year, and throughout the 10-year history of the award not only have they never failed to make the list, they have never finished outside of the top 10.This Padrón Family Reserve 50 Years Maduro is beautifully pressed, and it is steeped in notes of rich earth, coffee and that trademark cocoa bean quality.
