The history begun in 1965 when the Kapp brothers, George and Frederick moved to London and started making Meerschaum pipes.

In 1974 Frederick moved to Dublin and opened a pipe shop on Grafton Street. Two years later in 1976 he hired a young Latvian, Charles Peterson.
