Cuaba Cigars – Brand Status & Heritage

Introduced in 1996, Cuaba is a distinctive post-Revolution Cuban cigar brand created specifically to revive the traditional Figurado shape. Crafted with premium tobacco from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region, Cuaba cigars stand out for their elegant forms, artisanal construction, and historical inspiration.

Classified by Habanos S.A. within its “Other” portfolio group, Cuaba was previously regarded as a Niche brand under the pre-2019 classification system. At launch, the brand was positioned as a premium offering, often appearing alongside Cohiba and Trinidad in exotic commemorative releases.

Over time, Cuaba’s presence has become more selective, with only occasional special releases today. Nonetheless, Cuaba remains a favourite among aficionados who appreciate classic shapes, heritage craftsmanship, and the artistry of traditional Cuban cigar making.
