San Cristóbal de la Habana Cigars – Brand Status & Heritage

Established in 1999, San Cristóbal de la Habana is a modern Cuban cigar brand named after the historic title of Havanaduring the Spanish colonial era. While a pre-Revolution brand of the same name once existed, today’s San Cristóbal is an entirely separate creation, developed to celebrate Havana’s rich architectural and cultural legacy.

Classified by Habanos S.A. within its “Other” portfolio group—and previously regarded as a Niche brand—San Cristóbal cigars are known for their approachability and elegance. The original releases were named after the forts that once protected Old Havana, while newer vitolas draw inspiration from its ancient streets.

The range features light to medium-strength cigars, crafted exclusively with premium tobacco from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region, offering refined balance and classic Cuban character.
