Carnmor Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Glenlossie Distillery 2009 Red Wine Barriques

The Carn Mor Strictly Limited Glenlossie 2007 is super single malt with a sweet, fruit flavour. Distilled at Glenlossie Distillery in Speyside, the whisky has aged 12 years.

NOSE

Very fresh and intense start with light fruits. Light citrus notes, a hint of caramel and sweet dry nuts. In addition, there is a slightly musty and grassy-fresh note that is somewhat reminiscent of green herbs.

PALATE

Quite creamy with nice, sweet nut notes (almost a bit Nutella), delicately spicy notes from the wood and musty, fresh notes of grass and herbs. Very consistent and balanced, the alcohol is well integrated. Great interplay of aromas, which levels off after a while towards citrus notes and spicy, grassy notes.

FINISH

Very pleasantly tart, very delicate and restrainedly spicy. A nice creamy-nutty sweetness joins it and covers the palate with floral-grassy notes for quite a long time. After a while you will also find some honey.
