The Cigar

In the Millennium blend, ligero and visus grade leaves come together for deep aromas. The unique 151 wrapper leaf contributes to an oily appearance and pronounced and complex flavours. Davidoff Millennium Piramides with its tapered head is crafted my the most highly skilled torcedores only. Its 52-ring gauge allows for the blend to give off intense flavours. Initially, daring notes of oak wood and coffee accompany aromas of sweet prunes. In the second third, dark chocolate complements intense bouquets of almonds and white pepper. At the cigar's grand finale, pronounced flavours of peat are finished with piquant white pepper and liquorice.

Story behind the cigar
Each Millennium format is made with a unique wrapper from Ecuador. It took the Master Blenders 300 trials before trial number 151 reached their demanding standards for a wrapper leave. Hybrid 151 grows under the tropical sun in Ecuador at a finca especially chosen for its location and its unique microclimate.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of this modern classic, Davidoff's Master Blenders set out anew to explore, adventure and discover, this time to climb to new heights of taste to match Nicaragua’s volcanic peaks.

The tobaccos in this Limited Edition have been aged for an incredible total of 45 years.

Adding to the already-aged filler, binder and wrapper, Davidoff's Master Blenders also introduced a 9-year-old Estelí tobacco to the mix for the first time. But still they continued to pursue the extraordinary.

Not content with unearthing a new Nicaraguan variety, they aged the Estelí in rum casks for added depth and distinctiveness. Embarking through notes of roasted nuts, the taste gives way to oak wood and ends intensely with black coffee.

Due to the gran toro’s complexity, flavours and its full body, an ideal pairing companion to enhance the experience is a Nicaraguan rum. Its spicy notes and generally less sweet taste complement the cigar’s main aromas of roasted nuts, oak wood and black coffee nicely.

The 12 gran toro cigars come in a wooden box which displays the carefully varnished Nicaragua pattern.

THE CIGAR

The toro features a Dominican puro blend of vintage tobaccos from five different terroirs in the Dominican Republic. One of the areas in one of these terroirs is no longer cultivated by Davidoff, meaning that the cigar contains tobacco that aficionados will not otherwise be able to taste. While each of the tobaccos has a considerable individual age, the combined age of all 7 tobaccos is an impressive 111 years. This makes the Oro Blanco Special Reserve 111 Years the cigar with the most aged tobacco on the market. A definite must-have for aficionados who want to treat themselves to the finest and rarest of cigars. The new Oro Blanco is crafted by Master Roller supervisors with at least 20 years’ experience, and is only released once the Master Blenders have deemed it ready to be enjoyed.

These extraordinary efforts have resulted in an extremely refined cigar with a very sweet taste profile and a full body.

#6 Cigar Journal Cigar of the Year 2023

The Year of the Dragon Limited Edition completes Davidoff’s cycle of twelve consecutive celebrations around a Chinese zodiac. The brand honors the important year with several limited-edition products inspired by the Dragon and its fascinating personality. 

The powerful Dragon requires an equal format, making this zodiac’s cigar the biggest creation out of all “Year of” executions to date. The double corona carries an eye-catching foot ring which covers the uncut part of the cigar. This enables aficionados to enjoy the first inch/2.5 cm of the masterpiece without the wrapper leaf, which creates an intriguing play of flavors and visualizes the Dragon spitting fire.

The blend consists of 8 tobaccos, combined for a total of 60 years aging. In 2024, this number will match the age of a person born in 1964, which is also a Year of the Dragon. This year’s edition comes in a handsome box of ten cigars. The top surface of the box shows a captivating iridescent varnished dragon skin pattern all over. The powerful Year of the Dragon icon in the center holds a pearl, which in Chinese culture symbolizes wisdom, prosperity and fortune.

A wooden tray inside the box reveals two cigar sections that are divided by a silky red ribbon inspired by the Dragon’s tongue.

TASTING NOTES:

1/3 – The uncut foot of the cigar offers an inch of enjoyment without the wrapper leaf, during which earthy, wooden and herbal notes are present. Once the wrapper takes over, the taste changes to rich notes of roasted nuts, cream and subtle liquorice.

2/3 – The intensity rises in the second third, when notes of sweet honey, white pepper and citrus dominate. The double corona format and 8 different types of tobaccos of a combined age of 60 years create and elegant and sophisticated taste journey.

3/3 – In the cigars final third, fresh spice and oak wood complement the dominating notes of dark chocolate. The intensity remains the same as before, making the last part of this masterpiece especially smooth and well-balanced.

Davidoff's latest addition to their collection features a cigar inspired by the 12 symbols on the Chinese Zodiac calendar for the 14th consecutive year. It marks the beginning of the second cycle of the calendar, making it a significant release. The cigars boast a blend of an Ecuadorian wrapper, binder, and fillers sourced from the Dominican Republic and Mexico's renowned San Andrés Valley. This is also the first time the brand incorporates a Dominican hybrid seed 98 from the prestigious Martín García region, situated west of Mao and south of Monte Cristi. Moreover, it is only the second time that Mexican tobacco has been used in a Davidoff blend.

The latest in Davidoff's Zodiac series, this beautiful Lancero size celebrates the Year of the Snake. 

The taste profile of the blend is quite unusual and a novelty for a Davidoff cigar: With flavours of lemon, leather and coffee, the limited edition cigar makes for a perfect introduction to the new cycle. Especially the Dominican San Vicente and the Mexican Negro San Andres filler tobaccos, which are both known to stimulate the areas on the palate responsible for sour and salty sensations, drive the fresh and lemony notes without ever overpowering the palate. 

The Year of the Snake Limited Edition 2025 comes in a wooden box of ten, which, like the Snake, is elegant, graceful and serene on the outside, but leaves the excitement inside for those who want to explore. Design
The beautiful Davidoff Year of the Tiger cigar leather case is made of red coloured leather with a golden tiger pattern design and is finished with a golden thread. Handcrafted Spain with the finest, soft and supple cowhide leather, it protects cigars not only properly, but also with sophistication and style.

Function
The leather case ensures correct humidification for up to 10 days. It has capacity to accommodate 2 cigars up to RG 60 and maximum length of 8 ¼ inch (21 cm). There are 450 pieces available worldwide, each piece is numbered and laser engraved with the Year of the Tiger logo.

Diplomaticos Colección Privada II ER Espana (Spain) 2020

Spain's renowned Cuban cigar distributor - Tabacalera S.L.U. - introduced the Diplomáticos Colección Privada II as the Edición Regional for the Spanish market in 2020. Showcasing the Edmundo size of 135 mm x 52ring,  parejo, this release follows its predecessor, the Diplomáticos Colección Privada of 2013, which was a 4 inch x 50 ring Cuban cigar.

Limited to 50,000 numbered boxes, each containing 10 cigars, the Colección Privada II stands as potentially the most numerous Edición Regional release, totalling 500,000 cigars.

Habanos S.A.'s Edición Regional program allows global distributors to commission unique cigars for their regions, choosing from select brands and sizes. These cigars are distinguished by a red and silver band, typically indicating the region.

The cigar Diplomaticos El Emisario is the very first regional edition Switzerland from the Diplomaticos brand.
Known to aficionados and novices alike for its quallity and resemblance to Montecristo cigars, the Diplomaticos brand created 5 cigars between 1966 and 1976. Since 2010, only Diplomaticos No.2 remains in the brand's catalog.

The cigar Diplomaticos El Emisario is rolled". Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga" with exceptional tobaccos from Cuba's Vuelta Abajo region, recognized as the world's best tobacco-growing area. 

Diplomaticos El Emisario is composed of a filler, a wrapper and a binder, all native to Cuba. This composition gives the cigar a distinctive flavor and aroma, with intensity and balance. Subtle notes of hazelnut and coffee give this cigar a certain sweetness. The draw is pleasant, and each puff gives off a thick smoke.

Diplomaticos El Emisario is a Grand Robusto module with a cabeza tombada head. It measures 141 mm in length and has a diameter of 19.84 mm (ring 50). Smoking time for this cigar is estimated at between 45 and 60 minutes, offering an intensely balanced tasting experience. 

This Swiss regional edition is limited to 15,000 numbered boxes. This makes it a true rarity that will appeal to collectors and aficionados alike.
