Romeo y Julieta, one of the oldest and most recognisable cigar brands in the world, has introduced a new line, called Línea de Oro. Originally announced in 2020 to commemorate 145 years of the iconic brand, the new line is presented in three sizes Dianas (53⁄8” (145mm) x 52), Hidalgos (5” (125mm) x 57) and Nobles (51⁄3” (135mm) x 56) All three sizes have been blended to a medium to full taste, a step up from the famous medium bodied blend used in the classic range. The cigars are presented in stylish red lacquered boxes that carry an embossed medallion set on the lid.

Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleur
Do not overly concern yourself if the Mille Fleur looks familiar, it shares its dimensions and blend with the ever-popular Petit Corona within the same brand.
As Juliet herself may have said, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”.
Measuring 5 1/8” (129mm) x 42 ring gauge, the Mille Fleur has been produced in Cuba for over half a century. However, up until 2002 it was a machine-made cigar and not imported into the UK. Now they are all made entirely by hand using long-filler tobacco leaves, Tripa Larga – Totalmente a mano.
The French name translates into English as ‘thousand flowers’ and, as you would expect with such a name, it is a cigar with a generous floral bouquet. Serendipitously, it has arrived in the UK at the start of springtime.
Romeo y Julieta is one of the most loved and respected Habanos brands with its elegant, medium-bodied aromas blended from some of the finest tobaccos grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba.

Rosebank 21 year Fascination Whisky

The fifth release in Elixir Distillers' Rosebank Roses series, Fascination is a 21-year-old single malt which, like the others in the collection, has been released to celebrate Valentine’s Day. This single malt is a combination of spirit distilled in both 1990 and 1991, matured in ex-Madeira casks and American oak barrels for 21 years. Citrussy aromas of candied citrus peel and fresh lemon are joined by rye bread, white chocolate, sherbet pips and mint on the nose, complemented by notes of green apple, sugared almonds, custard and vanilla cream throughout the palate.
Sweet cream, honeysuckle, and spring meadow flowers lead. Apple blossom and creamy vanilla custard follow, with sliced apple and pear, and rich citrus peel notes orange and lemon. Candied flower petals – violet and rose – develop, wafting delicately over a field of buttery malt.
The sweet cream from the nose returns, with spicy bodyguards: cinnamon and nutmeg to one side, white and black pepper on the other. Stewed apples roll in, with licorice and anise touches. Sweetshop notes hide at the bottom: candy necklaces, apple chews, and creamy milk chocolate. Floral notes develop, with delicate petals and sweet syrup tinged with a hint of leafy mint. Water softens the spice but leaves the intensity of flavour. Buttery notes are amplified, and fruit and cream notes develop strawberry- and orange-creme-filled chocolates.
A burst of buttermint fades to leave sweet floral touches and gentle green leaf notes.
